High-schoolers earn place on National Honor Roll
More than 60 students from Huntington County qualified for induction into the 2002-03 National Honor Roll.
The NHR, of Lynbrook, N.Y., recognizes high school students who have achieved exceptional academic success in their classes.
"The future is in the hands of our children," Lynn Romeo, publisher of the National Honor Roll said. "These people have worked hard to attain academic success.
"Honoring their achievement provides motivation and encourages them to continue striving," Romeo said. "We're proud to include them in the National Honor Roll."
Students from Huntington County named to the list include:

Each inductee to the National Honor Roll can compete for one of the 25, $1,000 scholarships given by the Education Research Center of America.
Only students with grade-point averages of "B" or better are eligible to be on the National Honor Roll, and 68 percent of the inductees had GPAs of "A-" or better. Students are asked to submit information about their interests, activities and future goals.
