College Honor Graduates
LSU honor graduates
BATON ROUGE - Some 473 students graduated with academic honors at LSU's 250th commencement exercises on May 23.
Students with grade-point averages between 3.90 and 4.0 graduated summa cum laude. Those with averages of 3.80 to 3.89 graduated magna cum laude and those with averages between 3.70 and 3.79 graduated cum laude.
The following local students graduated with honors:
Bush - Virginia Eve Hudson, Magna Cum Laude.
Covington - Joshua David Maier, Summa Cum Laude; Katherine McLendon Parker, Magna Cum Laude; and Gretchen Meriwether Sanders, Magna Cum Laude.
Folsom - Yvette Angelle Cooper, Magna Cum Laude; and Heidi Natasha Warren, Cum Laude.
Lacombe - John Paul Gniady, Cum Laude.
Madisonville - Shana Ann Stumpf, Summa Cum Laude; and Katherine Marie Tallant, Magna Cum Laude.
Mandeville - Katie Marie Brundrett, Summa Cum Laude; Candice Robin Bunce, Cum Laude; Kristine Elizabeth Falcon, Summa Cum Laude; Katy Frances Morlas, Magna Cum Laude; Bonnie Lynn Otillio, Cum Laude; Lisa Carol Rodriguez, Cum Laude; Amanda Lynn Walent, Cum Laude; Kristin Reynolds Wiseman, Cum Laude.
UL-Monroe honor graduates
MONROE - Diplomas were awarded to 640 students during the Univerisity of Louisiana at Monroe's spring commencement exercises held in Fant-Ewing Coliseum on the campus May 17.
ULM President James E. Cofer Sr. conferred degrees and awarded diplomas. Dr. E. Joseph Savoie, Commissioner of Higher Education for the State of Louisiana, delivered the commencement address.
Several honor graduates were recognized during the ceremonies.
They are designated as summa cum laude (3.9-4.0), magna cum laude (3.75-3.899) and cum laude (3.5-3.749).
Among honor graduates recognized was Heidi Lynn Lambertson of Mandeville.
