• WEST AKRON — Fifteen Our Lady of the Elms High School students have earned the designation of AP Scholar by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the May college-level Advanced Placement Program Exams.
Four students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award: Stephanie Fabbro, of Hinckley; Lauren Jones, of Cuyahoga Falls; Victoria Sain, of Silver Lake; and Nicole Yohn, of Kent.
Three students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award: Carlene Benz, of Copley; Nina DeSantis, of Brecksville; and Kristin Koenig, of Akron.
Eight students qualified for the AP Scholar Award: Anne Dye, of Akron; Aditi Gupta, of Akron; Danielle Hartley, of Uniontown; Katherine Monasterio, of Fairlawn; Mary Wilkins, of Akron; Eliza Williams, of Akron; Kristen Wolfe, of North Lawrence; and Mary Elizabeth Wright, of Hudson.
• AKRON — Eleven graduates of Hoban High School’s class of 2006 have earned the designation of AP Scholar by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement Program (AP) Exams in May.
Peter Mushenheim, of Cuyahoga Falls, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mushenheim, now a freshman at the University of Notre Dame; Thomas Metzger, of Akron, a freshman at The Ohio State University, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Metzger; and Jon Bluebond, of Akron, a freshman at Miami University, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Bluebond, all qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award.
Mushenheim scored a perfect five on each of the five exams.
Amber Beery, of Medina, a freshman at Xavier University, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Beery, qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award.
Qualifying for the AP Scholar Award were: John Blischak, of Akron, a freshman at Ohio University (OU), son of Mr. and Mrs. David Blischak; Anna Edwards, of Cuyahoga Falls, a freshman at OU, daughter of Ms. Rosalind Edwards; Kyle Riggenbach, of Medina, a freshman at Ohio Northern University, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Riggenbach; and John Veillette, of Akron, a freshman at The University of Akron, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Veillette.
