Union Star high school students who made the honor roll for the fourth quarter are as follows, according to Emile Copeland, principal:

E honor roll:

Don Spillman, Mary Coats, Randal Bollinger.

S honor roll:

Seniors: Margaret Gordon.

Juniors: Bill Andrews, Bonnie Watts.

Sophomores: Elvin Andrews, Larry Bollinger, Georgia Fletcher, Peggy Ott, Gregory Pottratz, Lennis Whorton.

Freshmen: Kenny Borum, Tom Courtney, John Holland, Leroy Jones.

At the commencement exercises Thursday evening, the following awards were announced and presented by the faculty:

Valedictorian — Donnie Merle Spillman, who received a scholarship from Northwest Missouri State college and which will be honored at Central State college at Warrensburg.

Salutatorian — Margaret Gordon.

Citizenship award — Margaret Gordon.

Best all-around student: Sherry Bollinger.

Sherry Bollinger and Judy McQuerry tied for third place rating in the class.

Judy received a scholarship from St. Joseph Junior college.
