Revere CVCC students place in skill competition
BRECKSVILLE — Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) students from the Revere Local Schools District placed in a recent skills competition at the state level, sponsored by Business Professionals of America.
Seniors Bob Marek, Tim Roth and Steve Skunta, all Computer Networking Academy students, placed third as part of the Network Design Team.
Senior Pat Couch (Programming & Software Development) placed in the Top 10 in VB.Net Programming.
Junior Maggie Davis (The Company) placed in the Top 10 as part of the Presentation Management Team.
Senior Kellen Kapsar (The Company) placed in the Top 10 in Banking & Finance. Shown at right, from left, are Skunta, Roth, Kapsar and Marek.
In a separate Cisco Internetworking competition held recently at The University of Akron, Skunta also was part of the first-place team.
In regional competition sponsored by Distributive Education Clubs of America, Marketing Technology seniors Amanda Walker and Al Tharp took first place in competition for Travel & Tourism at Lakeland Community College last month.
More than 300 students from Northeast Ohio competed at the regional level.
