Local Students At National Academic Games Tournament
The National Academic Games Tournament was held May 2 through May 6 in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Locally, one student from Panther Run Elementary School, one student from Wellington Christian School, and nine students from Wellington Landings Middle School participated on the Palm Beach County Team.
In the Elementary Division: Andrew Acevedo, Josh Cordes, Sean Dargon, Akash Patel, Mitchell Schepps, Corey Wagshol, and Kristi Wilson participated in the games.
The Linguishtiks team won its division and Kristi Wilson had a perfect score.
In Equations, the Palm Beach County team won its division and took first place in the nation. Mitchell Schepps, Corey Wagshol, and Kristi Wilson had perfect scores.
In the Middle School Division: Allison Greenspan, Dusty Nicolay, Kevin Sopczak, and Andy Walsh participated in the games.
The World Events team from Palm Beach County won first place in the nation.
