Krebs School Honor Roll

HONOR ROLL PUPILS AT KREBS SCHOOL

NEWPORT, Del., Feb. 10, 1930 --- The new method of figuring the scholastic honor roll of the Krebs School, which necessitates that children have A's and nothing less than B to appear on the first honor roll, and three A's, and nothing less than C, for the second honor roll, also that the child must have B or better in deportment, has created much interest among the scholars. The following appear on the first and second honor rolls for January:

First honor roll

Eighth grade -- Bertha Husbands, Muriel Gotschall, Aubrey Brooks;

seventh grade — Eileen Hamill, Kenneth Jones, Ruth Harris, Janet Birch;

sixth grade — Vera Ferguson, Julia Varell, William Clark;

fifth grade — Naomi Brooks, Jeanne Benson;

fourth grade — Robert Miller, Barbara Plumline, Doris Shelby, Marjorie Nock, Elsie Gotschall;

third grade — Jane Lynam, Betty Crouch, Ruby Mays, Jane Rile, Isabelle Fisher.

Second honor roll

Eighth grade — Della Dove;

seventh grade — Michael Santucci, Emma Webb, Leslie Tull, Madeline Philips, Marie Pordham, Elizabeth McCallister;

sixth grade -- Elaine Southgate, Paul Mays, Ruth Gassert, Edna Briggs, Emma Ramsay, Bernice Sammons, Martha Jancen, Ann Nock, Florence Shaw, Pauline Thomas, Virginia Selby, Michael Goshey;

fifth grade -- Dolly Contras, Marie Deery, Betty Boulden, Gertrude Hamill, Anna Goshey;

fourth grade — Eleanor Clark, Thomas Marshall, Bobby Lynam, Leslie Lindsay;
