• CUYAHOGA FALLS — Two seniors from Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) have been recognized as semifinalists in the 2006 National Merit Scholarship competition: Ashley Mosteller, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Mosteller, of Hudson, and Meghan Quigg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Quigg, of Aurora.
These two earned this recognition as a result of their outstanding PSAT scores on the test taken in October 2004.
Fewer than 700 students in Ohio received this recognition from more than 53,000 students who took this test.
In addition to the two National Merit Semifinalists, the National Merit Corporation has designated four CVCA students as Commended Students: Allison Flaker, Elya Horattas, Thomas Snell and Kevin Watkins.
These students scored among the top 2,000 students in Ohio.
• NORTON — Ashland University student Lindsey Toth has become the newest director of WRDL, the student-run radio station on Ashland’s campus.
Toth has become a program director for WRDL.
Toth is a senior journalism major and the daughter of Art and Janet Toth, of Norton.
Toth graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School in 2002.
