Dozens of awards given at Calhoun honors night

The Fort Calhoun High School Student Council, Janice Saunders and Don Johnson hosted the academic honors convocation Thursday night (May 22, 1997) in the high school gym.

The theme, "Honoring Excellence in Education," was evident throughout the evening with awards and special recognition given to students in classroom and academic - related areas.

The National Honor Society concluded the program with an ice cream social.

Members of the Student Council are Gene Fitzgerald; Christina Bowser, president; Josh Christensen; Andrew Doyle; Emily Pringle, vice president; Katie Benson, secretary; Mark Kusek; Julie Diefenbaugh; Tim Peterson, treasurer; Trever Kruger; Lindsey Bowser and Justin Robinson.
