ENFIELD - Nathan Hale Elementary School presented the Presidential Academic Fitness Awards on June 5, 1997.

These awards are given to students who have maintained an average of A- or higher from Grade 4 through Grade 6.

A supplemental award is also given to students who have shown a persistence to achieve and improve their academics, even if the demanding A- average has not been achieved.

The celebration was attended by students, parents, teachers, community leaders, and town officials.

The students receiving the Presidential Academic Fitness Awards were:

Joshua Bodian, Chelsea Cybulski, Nicole Fusco, Brian Jacobson, Bryan Jambard, Visna Ngov, Brandon Raymond, Heather Rembiesa, Susan Romanowski, Jeremy Schader, Allison Scull and Sarah Szotak.

Those receiving the supplemental improvement awards were:

Michelle Barboza, Kristy Bolduc, and Sarah Gagnon.

The Nathan Hale family is very proud of these sixteen students who have maintained the necessary discipline to attain this award.
