Locals graduate from LGH nursing and health services
Lancaster General College of Nursing & Health Sciences and the Lancaster Institute for Health Education (LIHE) held graduation ceremonies Friday, May 21 at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
Seventy-seven students graduated from the College’s allied health programs, while 84 received diplomas from LIHE’s School of Nursing.
Fourteen of the nursing graduates also received Associate Degrees in Applied Science from the Lancaster General College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Following welcoming remarks by Norma J. Ferdinand, MSN, RN, Senior Vice President, Patient Care Services, Lancaster General Hospital, School of Nursing, the College Board of Directors Chairman, Michael Van Belle delivered the opening address.
School of Nursing student Daniel W. Haldeman followed with the commencement address. Mr. Van Belle then conferred the diplomas.
The following local students graduated from Lancaster General College of Nursing & Health Sciences.
Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Receiving a diploma was Stephen L. Crow, Ephrata. Brent A. Nelson, Ephrata, received an associate degrees in applied science from the Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program.
Receiving diplomas from the Nuclear Medicine Technology program was Tracy J. Barlok, Ephrata.
Receiving associate degrees in applied science from the Radiology Technology program were:
Michelle R. Andres, Ephrata; Erica M. Coveleski, New Holland; Lee E. Gallagher, Brownstown; and Eric N. Shelford, Mohnton.
Receiving diplomas from the Surgical Technology program were: Katrina E. Littles, Mohnton; and Megan R. McLean, New Holland.
The following students received diplomas from the Lancaster Institute for Health Education School of Nursing:
