Following are the awards presented to fifth grade students in an assembly May 24, 2004 that have not been previously published. The top students received medals and some students received certificates noting the honor.
The top math students were Clayton Earhart, Shawn Ullrich, Brittany Smith, Andrew Cornick and Brittany Caron.
Receiving certificates were Garrett Wishon, Kodey Quinton, Emily Mahurin, Michelle Brougham, Laura Chapman, Brandon Pratt, Heather Counts.
Nikki Weiler, Justin Parrett, Devon Brinkley, Chelsi Brand, Christina Marty, Brandon Chilton, Brooke Skiles, Taylor Asher, Chasity Wilson and Wesley Greathouse.
The top language arts students were Andrew Cornick, Kaitlynne Forbes, Brittany Caron, Devon Brinkley and Brooke Skiles.
Receiving certificates were Brandon Pratt, Brittany Smith, Rebecca Murphy, Clayton Earhart, Shawn Ullrich, Emily Mahurin, Lorene Moses.

Twenty-five students received proficient in math awards. Martin Miller received an advance math award. There were 22 proficient social studies awards presented.
The top art student was Andrew Cornick. Christina Marty received a certificate.
Receiving citizenship awards were Brooke Skiles, Kodey Quinton, Scott Barton and Clayton Earhart.
Named hardest workers in fifth grade were Brittany Caron, Brandon Pratt, Chase Kenney, Shawn Ullrich, Michelle Brougham, Natalie Gilliland, Emily Mahurin and Preston Matchell.
The most improved students were Jordan Whittaker, Devon Brinkley, Josh Shook, Tiffany Emory, Troy Kennedy, Erica Setzer, Chasity Wilson and Kayla Pitts.
