December students of the month announced

Four R-3 Middle School students were selected by their teachers to honor for December 2003.
They were:

Olivia Santhuff, Brittany Smith, Jessie Stice and Kendall Vernon.

Smith, fifth grade, is the daughter of Gary and Rhonda Smith.
She was an alternate for fifth grade Knowledge Bowl competition. Her favorite class is math.
Her out-of-school activities include attending her 4-H club and volunteering at Gibbs Care Center.
When she grows up she wants to become a veterinarian.

Santhuff, is the daughter of Don and Chris Santhuff.
Her school activities include Cardinal Kid, Knowledge Bowl, Gifted/MIA Program. Her favorite class is math.
Out-of-school activities include basketball, softball and soccer.
When she grows up she wants to be an WNBA basketball player.

Vernon, seventh grade, is the son of Curtis and Melina Vernon.
His school activities include cross country and track. His favorite class is language arts.
Out-of-school activities include baseball and soccer. He wants to be a video game programmer when he grows up.

Stice, eighth grade, is the daughter of Scott and Paula Stice.
School activities include basketball, track and volleyball.
Her favorite class is physical education.
Out-of-school activities include basketball. She wants to be a photographer when she grows up.
