Members were selected by a faculty council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship, and character.
Students inducted into NHS were freshmen Haley Brack, Ivey Benoit, Jade Corbello, Ashlyn Akhtar, Samantha Leifeste, Lauren Jackson, Sara Scarborough; sophomores Katherine Tibbitts, Tyler Whitten, Reggie Holley, Ryan Whitten, Nathan Landolt; and junior Christina Pulido. Faithe Davis and Blair Dupre were inducted in the NJHS.
“National Honor Society members are expected to continue their exemplary contributions to the school and community,” said Ronnie Lee, NHS chapter adviser. Sharon Monk serves as advisor for NJHS.
The Community Christian School chapter has been active since 1995.
The National Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for high school students. Chapters exist in three-fourths of the nation’s high schools and, since 1921, millions of students have been selected for membership. Thousands of dollars in scholarships have been awarded to senior members since 1945 by the sponsoring organization, the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
