Lamar State College-Port Arthur will award 55 associate degrees and 58 technical certificates to 111 graduates during the fall commencement, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, in the Carl Parker Center, 1800 Lakeshore Drive.

The commencement speaker will be Russell Hall, associate pastor of United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur.

Candidates from Orange County for associate of arts degrees, include:

Bridge City: Scott Edwin Shaw (business administration).

Candidates for associate of applied science degrees, listed by hometown, include:

Bridge City: Sheena Nicole Carpenter (paralegal);

Mauriceville: Jennifer Danielle Wilson Thibodeaux (paralegal);

Orange: Daniel Scott Marshall (commercial music - sound engineering technology); Brandon Keith Reeves (instrumentation);

Vidor: Earl Ray Cochran (two degrees: commercial music - sound engineering technology and commercial music - studio musician performance); John Anthony Bozeman (software developer).
