Local Students Make Dean’s List At Lees-McRae College
Dr. Jeffrey Welsh, vice president for academic affairs at Lees-McRae College announced the Dean’s List for the fall semester 2002.
A minimum GPA of 3.5 is required to make the Lees-McRae College Dean’s list.
Students who made the list were:

Billie K. Charney of Banner Elk who is a senior elementary education major, a graduate of Paradise Valley High School and the daughter of Ellen and Dennis Charney of Phoenix;
Sharon C. Cropper of Linville who is a junior organizational management and development major in LMC’s Boone bachelor’s completion program and a graduate of Avery County High School;
Jo Anne Danielson of Crossnore who is a senior nursing major in LMC’s Mayland Community College bachelor’s completion program;
Melissa F. Gragg of Newland who is a senior nursing major in LMC’s Mayland Community College bachelor’s completion program;

Lees-McRae is a four-year, co-educational liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church U. S. A, located in the mountains of western North Carolina in the town of Banner Elk.
The college is dedicated to service learning and offers majors in twenty-four fields.
